This dragon calls Star's Rest their home
Sapphi, although being born into the same flight as the others, was glossed over as worthless because of the dark colored trait she inherited. Runes had been considered a more common trait and were only valuable if they exhibited bright colors as the darker shades do not glow as vibrantly. Although this saved her from certain other fates, the constant teasing, badgering, and occasional violent outbursts toward her for being of ‘lesser value’ have left their marks.A bit an oddball, Sapphi has attempted to keep a smile on her face and always be joyful around others. She feels that, although she’s suffered too, she shouldn’t let that keep her down. She can often be found running around the lair doing goofy things and trying to keep the joy for the rest of the dragons. Her favorite hobby is hanging off the ceiling and overhangs in the lair.
Sapphi likes to dress herself fully and to extremes with dark clothing. Always coming up with excuses like “it’s comfortable” or “it looks cool”, she’ll never tell the other dragons that the real reason she dresses the way she does is so that they don’t look at her dark colored runes.
Born in the same breeding cycle as Aurea, Sapphi formed a tight relationship with her at a young age. The two are inseparable and share all of their dreams and secrets with each other. When asked about Aurea, Sapphi is very careful not to ever say too much and she knows Aurea will never tell her secrets either.
Sapphi was among the first to begin co-existing with the outside world once more. She was outcast of the Elegant Opals and the least “valuable” of the escaped dragons. Figuring they would forget her first, and heavily covered to hide her appearance she decided, rather than asking the others, it would be safest for her to make the majority of these trips, required as they were, to bolster the clan’s strength and ensure its survival.
Great at making friends, Sapphi has put a lot of work in helping most of the original dragons come back out of their shell. Not a single member of the flight, even those who remain cold to the world will say they dislike her.
Enjoying the freedom of being out in the world, Sapphi works with Aurea to find treasures for the flight.
