When he hatched, Tangorn found himself in a
clan with so many Guardians, he was unable
to find who his parents were. He had a suspicion
on who his father was, as he had similar
colors, but he never got the chance to ask. As
soon as he hatched, he was taken to the clan
nursery, where all the hatchlings are taken to
be cared for by the "nurses".
It was a fairly chaotic clan, as usually some
form of drama occurred, not that it matter
much to young Tangorn. All that mattered to
him was playing with his fellow hatchling
clanmates and eating. He was upset when he
had to start training for "a journey important
for every Guardian". He thought it was a stupid
excuse to begin training so he could be exalted.

The Search

When he was close to adulthood, Tangorn's
mentor told him why he trained during his
childhood, that when he became an adult he
would embark on his Search for his Charge,
leaving his birth clan. And sure enough, when
Tangorn became an adult, he left his birth
clan and began his Search. He traveled to the
various domains, searching for whatever, or
whoever, his Charge was. Eventually, he
returned to his home domain, the Scarred
Wasteland, searching across it for a second
time in case he missed his Charge.

After looking around in the Plague domain, Tangorn noticed an abyss he had previously missed somehow. Within the abyss, he noticed a lesser lair carved into the side. Curiosity got the best of him, and he flew down to the entrance of the lair.
Tangorn accidentally startled the Mirror in the lair, which in turn startled himself. It was then he realized the Mirror was his charge. He tried to explain the situation to the Mirror, who he found was named Carminite. Although she still wasn't quite sure about what a Charge was, she understood his curiosity, and let him join her clan she was starting as her deputy. Over time, Tangorn fell for Carminite, and eventually, they became mates.

Osiem created the plague banner and the Clan of the Abyss banners' base.
