Rhea doesn't have a high self-esteem. When she was younger, the other hatchlings used to tease her, telling her that she'd be better off fighting in the endless war with such unfortunate genes. Her loving parents, Yuko and Sol, told her it didn't matter what others thought. She was beautiful on the inside. Rhea, then Gatoraid, wasn't overly sure about that.

She discovered her love for alchemy as a juvenile, and was even more intrigued when she realised she could brew genes to change her appearance. She worked hard and tirelessly in an attempt to achieve her goal. When she was told that every gene couldn't be brewed, she was devastated. The marketplace was so expensive only the rich could afford things. She left the clan soon after, saying goodbye to her relatives and setting off for another.

It was a bit odd, at first. The greetings were awkward and she didn't say much. But the clan was nice, especially one dragon: Atayei. He used his skills with scrying to create her a beautiful image, and promised he'd help her achieve this goal. She still works hard to save as much money as she can in the hope she will become beautiful - even though she has already achieved this inside.
