Lani

A gentle gardener. Lani found that he did not have the same drive to accrue knowledge as most of his family members, and instead preferred to spend his days in the gardens of the Artorias Clan. Though the tiny clan had only recently immigrated to the realm of Light they had proven themselves to be quite friendly and welcoming, unsurprising for a clan founded and lead by a child of the Windsinger. Lani knew he was not the first Scholar to set foot in the overgrown halls of their new temple home, but he was the first to attempt a friendship with the clan members, rather than a simple working relationship. He soon found himself an unlikely companion in the Skydancer, Hanako, a warrior who had left the realm of Nature to test her skills against the vile creatures that inhabited the Ghostlight Ruins.

It was not long before Lani was invited to assist in the curation and tending of the small gardens that bloomed around the temple, and he was quick to take the offer, and he quickly proved his mettle for the cultivation of life. According to Hanako, Tsubaki and Hollyhock, the clan's only members from the Nature dragonflight, Lani should have been born to their goddess instead.

Lani spends most of his days in the garden now, acquiring more knowledge every day about the care of plants, animals and boundless life, but mostly he would rather simply admire the beauty of it all.
