Biography
- Former watchmaker; has extremely deft claws and a mind for solving puzzles. Unfortunately, the clan she ran with while using her skills had been led by a manipulative dragon. Tyl wouldn't have minded this -- manipulation is, to an extent, an admirable skill -- but he was stealing from her, specifically. Tyl overthrew that dragon with the help of another angry clanmate: Sarin. And then they went off on their own, leaving the rest of their clanmates to deal with the aftermath.
- Not the most moral dragon out there. Her main problem with the manipulative clan leader was not that he was abusing others' trust, it was that he was specifically taking advantage of her. She finds the skills that are required to lie to and lead others along impressive, like any other trade, but she doesn't appreciate being tricked.
- Tyl couldn't get back into watchmaking with the amount of travel she did with Sarin, so she looked into putting together other things. While Sarin practiced her craft, Tyl found broken things and repaired them. She got quite good at it, and she became quite comfortable with Sarin. Their relationship grew naturally, and eventually it became clear that the two of them weren't just together for convenience. They were also there for love.
- The two of them eventually settled into a more convenient schedule for their travel, and Tyl could get back to creating watches. The deftness of her claws and the speed with which she put them together attracted the attention of a Coatl by the name of Tonatiah, who wanted those skills for some extremely immoral, but fantastically profitable endeavors. Tyl saw no problem with this offer, save for the fact that she would have to keep it a secret from her girlfriend, and accepted.
- She is sent the pearls of Pearlcatchers of different elements (she doesn't ask how they were obtained; better not to know, if someone comes asking) and she splits them into pieces and combines them into pearls of many elements. She sends those off; she doesn't know where, or what happens to them, but it's most definitely not in the pursuit of good.
