Cormac is, first and foremost, a Dullahan (a faerie of celtic origin seen as an omen of death and disaster). I'm not sure about death, but he's certainly a disaster.

The death omens stem from staring directly into the smoke around where his head should be (when not, you know, attached to his body), and you see glimpses of possible deaths that could befall you. It doesn’t have to be your certain death, just whatever’s most likely at the time. He can’t help this, it’s innate.

Cormac has pale mauve-ish skin, and his neck stump dissipates into a swirling smoky mass. His abnormally long limbs and lankiness make him look somewhat wraithlike. He dresses in stereotypical highwayman garb, as opposed to heavy armour (unlike some more traditional Dullahan). Always seen in some kind of fancy shirt (sleeves gathered at the shoulder), high waisted trousers that are only slightly too big, and fingerless gloves so his claws don't get stuck.

He wears at least 3 belts at a time (It's almost armour at this point; just 12 belts stacked all the way up to his chest under the guise of Light Leather Armour). Only one of these holds its common function (though he carries his rapier in another). Shrouding the ensemble is a velvet lined (but moth-eaten) cape edged with runic symbols, high collared to somewhat disguise his missing head (not to much avail) and occasionally a helmet such as the ones worn in medieval crusades. His boots have a slight platform, adding to his ever imposing height. The sheath for his rapier is emblazoned with his former faction’s sigil (though this is custom made, it’s not happenstance for a Dullahan to use this kind of sword).

His exploits as a pansexual disaster are thus far lacking. He can barely land a hookup, let alone a date. He acts smooth but people are either disinterested, disgusted or too scared for him to actually get anywhere. Has been publicly rejected in a variety of ways. He’s the equivalent of Northern Irish and his voice is has a quality that makes it sound like echoing off cave walls, vaguely distant and everywhere at once. He’s a good singer and has secret aspirations for performing greatness.

origins.

Cormac is a low ranking unseelie noble. He's looked down upon in the otherworld; for being good aligned and generally well adjusted, traits that oppose many of the winter court's moral standings and historical renown and tendencies. He's a disgrace to the Dullahan ranks for allowing himself to be robbed of his head, his horse and his whip on semi-separate occasions (by mere mortals, no less). His general attitude is over the top and dramatic (all in good spirit, but he can be oblivious to certain things when he gets in a state). Despite this, he’s relatively carefree and acts suave and smooth when applicable (read: most of the time).

On the topic of the robbing, his whip was in the saddlebag of his horse (a hellish creature of inky purple smoke and bone) when he was struck down by a particularly lucky human with enchanted weaponry. When he came to he was met with an empty feeling, and it took him approximately 3 seconds to realise that his whole life had vanished before his hypothetical eyes. Somewhere out there, a Dullahuman roams, terrorizing people with little remorse for their actions. They’ll get their comeuppance. Eventually.

The stolen artefacts have been reclaimed by the local authorities, and there’s now a bonehorse being cared for somewhere by some very terrified young farmhands.
