Biography

tlu_fandragon_by_stormhawke13-d9sr6tg.png

I've always had a soft spot for the drunkard skeleton guarding the clock entrance to the dungeons of Haggard's castle. Even if he does give Amalthea's escape away, I have to pity a character so desperate he can get smashed on imaginary wine. "Yooo-nee-corn!"

See below for the original version of this character! I decided to remodel him when the Ghost gene was released. How could I ignore an opportunity like that? As I experimented with colors and genes, I happened to find that Tarnish Wasp mimics the mantle the skeleton is lying on nearly perfectly! I also love how Taupe Striation creates a spider-webs-in-the-gloom look.

As for his accessories, I still haven't figured out how to create that crown. The Rose Thorn Crowns would be perfect, but the rose is too obvious and bothers me. The Crown of Bones seems pretty fitting, though. After some further experimenting with apparel, I like the Scout's Cape as the scrap of fabric (presumably the rotting remnants of his clothing). I had also given the original version a bag, supposing the item hanging from his was some sort of pouch. But after watching the clip several times, I decide I was wrong and that it's actually a necklace! So I splurged (ouch) on the Sapphire Talonclasp pendant as the closest thing.

Perhaps his most important "accessory" is his familiar. Once I watched the clip again, I realized that the Time Devourer could not be beat!

I spent several months breeding for exactly this dragon, and I'm so grateful to Terrorzone for patiently hosting his parents in a Plague nest every month. :) I did scry him with Glowing eyes and didn't like it, but Faceted would be so perfect! I am willing to give it a try if people are willing to toss Eyesight Scatters at me!

I mostly happened upon this one by accident because I wasn't even thinking about this character when I acquired this dragon. I just wanted to breed "skeletons," and I think Pearlcatchers do it best. I had actually looked for White, but was happier with the better contrast Silver provided.
