Raxt hatched in the Rottoway, one of the more dangerous and unstable lairs within the Scarred Wasteland. His father was the Carrion King, but that did nothing to protect the young Prince of Bones. He and his siblings were used as entertainment before their father grew bored with them. Raxt did not know where his siblings were sent. He did the only thing he could: Survive. After careful consideration, he decided that the best way to do so was to escape the Rottoway. This was much easier said than done, as the Rottoway was a series of labyrinthine tunnels under the wastes. Each escape attempt ended with him captured, then punished.

Fabos's arrival changed everything. The elder guardian stumbled into the Rottoway and knew exactly where he was. He called his clan for a skyship, but had to keep the Carrion King entertained long enough for it to arrive. While he was waiting, Raxt made another escape attempt. Fabos was forced to attend the King's court when Raxt was punished. Learning that this was a Prince made the elder's blood boil. When the skyship appeared in the dead of night, Fabos grabbed the scared, shrieking hatchling and ran for it. At first, Raxt resisted, giving away their position. It took sometime for Fabos to find a place to explain that he was getting the young one out, but if Raxt wanted to stay... He didn't. With Raxt's knowledge of the guards, deadends, and Fabos's strength plus experience, the two snuck onto Pooka's ship and left for the Windswept Plateau.

Grim, the Clan's Primary Healer, was waiting for them. While Fabos and Pooka led the ship home, she spent time examining Raxt. At first, Raxt refused, until Fabos told to shut up, sit down, listen to Grim, and that they could still throw him overboard. Grim was shocked to discover that Raxt's skin was thin, translucent, completely scarred despite his age. She slapped all the pain relief ointments and bandages she had on him. Raxt nearly died in shock because for the first time in his short life he wasn't in pain. The young Prince of Bones was a survivor, a true plague Dragon, and was quickly chosen by the Spirit of Plague to represent the aspect of Plague on the Council despite his age.

Today, Raxt lives with Fabos. The old dragon considered it his duty to teach him how to be a real plague dragon. Every morning Grim arrives with new medications, bandages, and performs a physical due to Raxt often injuring himself and not realizing it. This has led to an interest in medicine. Fabos occassionaly takes him back to the Scarred Wastelands with the Deadland Disciple for important experiences as an infectionist that are far different than those of the Rottoway. When he's not training with Fabos or Grim, he's joins the Venture's Trick-Pack for a fun time. He may be out of the Rottoway, but he still retains the slightly twisted sense of humor.
