Sefrond

Sefrond likes perching. He is most often found looming silently over the encampment, eyes looking in every direction, missing nothing, peering into every crack and corner. The few young dragons in their makeshift clan call him the 'Watcher', the 'Knower', or stranger things, in awe of his bone-chilling awareness. They do not approach, for as the third-ranking member of the Amber Down, it is not merely his vision that makes him frightening.

The few who aren't scared of him- namely Nevada and Crispin, who piece together the highest two ranks in the organization- know him to be surprisingly soft. He actively avoids assassination mission, preferring to run protection details or mere reconnaissance. He hates the moment of the kill, and often has issues sleeping for days after if he has to end someone. He is quiet because an old injury makes his voice rough and gravelly and painful. If either of them are in emotional turmoil, Sefrond is very much the dragon they seek out for peace.

But the lower-ranked members of the Amber Down see Nevada's glittering red wings perched next to Sefrond's glowing eyes far, far above, and all they think is that they must be planning new missions, new attacks, new violence.

Sefrond thinks it's an interesting- though perhaps regrettable- duality.
