Biography

| The Leader | Confident | Strict | Overbearing |

"Respect your authorities."

Many dragons would describe Lunacy as bossy, nosy, far too strict and as too much of a 'dad'. Almost all of this is true.

From the moment that he was hatched, Lunacy was raised to be a leader. His parents were the alphas of their large clan, and the little wildclaw was to be taught to be just like them. As a youngin, he was treated almost as a prince. He had copious amounts of respect from the clan members, and his parents were strict dragons that would try to mold him into the perfect leader.

Lunacy was more or less interested in the coliseum that he heard so much about. While he was trained to fight for himself, he was kept in the territory. Knowing how to fight would be important, but he was often scolded about how he wasn't meant to run off and battle monsters in unknown lands - his place was in the clan.

...Until it wasn't anymore.

Lunacy's curiosity and interest in the world outside eventually drew him away from his place of birth, disregarding the protest of his fellow clan mates. Being treated like a prince was nice, but it is difficult to fully appreciate something if you've never known anything else. His leave was his act of rebellion against the same old - and it was no coincidence that his journey eventually brought him to the edge of the Scarred Wasteland.

After all, a Nature dragon like him surely didn't belong here.

He did nearly turn back - the stench too putrid, the little fauna and flora there was too unwelcoming and dangerous - but Lunacy soldiered on. Lunacy could master this environment, he could brace the dangers it brought and overcome them. He wasn't some spoiled little brat unable to take care of himself.

Except, in some ways, he was.

The Scarred Wasteland was merciless. Granted, the Viridian Labyrinth had more than enough dangers of its own, dangerous creatures could hide behind every tree, in every bush, a mere wingspan away without you even noticing. But those were dangers Lunacy knew, he'd been taught to avoid these pitfalls from a very young age. The Scarred Wasteland, barren as it was, didn't offer many places for predators to hide, but it was completely new territory for Lunacy, in more ways than one. Worst of all, he was facing it alone.

As luck would have it, Lunacy's first dragon encounter in Plague territory just so happened to be with members of the Order of the Colossus. They saved him, in a way, as he was caught up in a fight with a band of beastclans. The group of dragons swooped in to defeat the creatures. Lunacy, swallowing his pride, meant to thank the strangers, but they were already turning away again, carrying the prey on their backs. All they were interested in was prey, they didn't even care as much as to give Lunacy a second glance!

Indignantly, he caught up with them. His ego had taken a blow, but Lunacy wasn't stupid. He knew that his chances of survival would be so much better if he wasn't alone, and so he asked to accompany them. They let him, albeit warily, casting distrustful glances at him for the entire journey back. The deeper they got into Plague territory, the more he wondered if this was a good idea. However, he was eager to prove himself, even to these strangers. They saw potential in him - he hadn't held himself in the fight with the beastclans too badly after all - so he had to see this through.

--

He'd regret this decision sometimes, when the ridicule got too bad. Old habits die hard, which include his princely ones. Except here in the Order of the Colossus, no one was bothered to meet his standards. He was no longer a treasured heir, he was just an ordinary soldier. A rookie, and rookies had to earn their respect first.

There was, at least, someone to brighten up those days. A strong warrioress, rough and brutish, often subjecting Lunacy to the same harsh treatment. Yet with her, it was different for some reason. Charene sparred with him sometimes, spurring him on, provoking his anger, and then making sure he was okay after his inevitable loss.
Underneath her flippant and uncaring behaviour, he knew she wanted him to succeed. And so Lunacy trained, honed his skills, and learned to be humble. For Charene, and for the Order.

But also can be… Calculating, condescending, a perfectionist
