Biography

Formerly of the Saurus Clan

Eydis is the chief hunter for the Saurus clan. She takes this job very seriously, making sure the lair is well stocked with food. Sometimes she gets a little too intense; some of the other dragons find her abrupt or downright rude. But Eydis does not mind. As long as their larder is full, she knows she is doing her best for the clan. If something upsets her, she keeps the feelings locked away where no one else can see them.

Eydis came to the clan as the intended mate for Torgeir; however, when she arrived it soon became clear to her that his heart belonged to another dragon. At the time, Eydis did not mind. She was young and still trying to find her place in the lair. Instead she took up with Egill, the quirky inventor, and they have raised a number of lovely hatchlings. But recently, Eydis has been thinking more and more of the dragon who was once her intended. It's hard not to, honestly...Torgeir's gregarious nature and kind actions make him the kind of dragon others want to be around. But he had seemed content with his mate, so Eydis merely watched him from afar. That is, until he and Sefyr decided not to have any more hatchlings.

Eydis was surprised that Torgeir accepted her offer, but also pleased. Secretly she has always wanted tiger-striped hatchlings, and now she has some. If only Torgeir wasn't avoiding her now, things would be marvelous. Of course, there is the little matter of the rest of the clan giving her evil looks...but that happened before this, so Eydis does not care.

The sleeping curse caught us unaware. Indeed, we knew nothing about it until over a year later, when some of the eldest dragons began to stir. Most of the clan still sleeps, waiting for a cure.

Those who woke had two choices: stay, attempt to wake the others, and protect the clan - or go, and seek out new lives. The world has gone on without us, and we know our clan will never be the same. All we can do now is pick up the pieces and attempt to forge something good from the ashes.
