Rinedant

Rinedant felt almost defective growing up. He never felt particularly needing of finding his supposed charge-for-life. He always preferred playing and helping others. The only reason he left on his search is because he was getting older, and dragons were whispering about why he hadn't found a charge yet. He left more out of shame than any urge to find it.

He joined the clan after a long time alone, and initially was just going to help out a while before moving on, but then he met Auratus, who was kind and listened to him when he spilled his fears, and she convinced him that he didn't need to fit into what other people expected of him to be whole. He decided to stay and be with her. It wasn't until the clan had it's first clutch of eggs that he found himself being more protective of them than he'd ever been of anything, and decided he'd found his purpose at last.
