Lal is a gentle yet steadfast dragon, willing to hear anyone out, and negotiate before baring arms. She spent her early life training in her adoptive mother's shadow, alongside her sister Fabia. The pair was adopted when their abandoned eggs were discovered, and hatched before the scouting parties eyes. Her calm demeanor set her apart from her sister, and her analytical attitude from the rest of her clan. As her Rite of Adulthood approached, she felt more alone than ever, and decided to leave her people. She knew that she had never been one of them anyway, and did not expect to be back. She spent three centuries traveling the world. She made many friends and learned many things, and most of all, became fascinated with the idea of science. To research and understand things gave her immense pleasure, and she longed to go back and share her findings with her adoptive parents, who she had finally begun to miss. They would be even older by now, if they were still standing. And so she returned, to be met with hostility, and to settle into a true apartness.

She is currently spending much of her energy on a strange device that she feels is connected to the destiny of her clan. But how it is connected, she cannot say.
