Fabia The Fierce began her life as a scrawny foundling, and an outsider to the rest of her clan. Her adoptive mother, Hawthorne, took mercy upon her and her twin, Lal, out of desperation; her clan's numbers were dwindling. If the old ways were to be preserved, an heir was needed. Fabia became that heir. Though her sister was far wiser, Fabia set herself apart as downright viscous and willing to sacrifice anything for her clan. She soon became as ruthless a warrior as her mother once was. After the disappearance of Lal, she was the clear choice for leadership. She changed the clan name from The Survivors to The Fortified as a way to tell her mother that she would not let the clan come so close to it's doom ever again.

Fabia resents Lal, even after she returned to the clan to take up their cause once again. And yet, she cannot bring herself to exile her twin. To compensate for her own weaknesses, she presses Lal to work long hours on her research to prove that it will be worth it for the clan, and so that Lal may compensate for her lack of fighting skill.
