Cares for the chickens and other farmed animals the clan keeps. But mainly caters to the chickens. She just really loves chickens. The chicken that she holds, she carries everywhere with her. She was breed changed as an experiment by Zepar, and thus, not a true pearlcatcher. The chicken has become like a part of her soul, and acts as her 'pearl'. The chicken doesn't understand, but it does know it feels compelled to stay with her at all times. The chicken is now pearlbonded and shiny. All of the other chickens seem to love her. Whether this is because they know she loves them, or are just attracted to how shiny she is, no one knows.

She doesn't know why her mother named her Rice, but even after moving away to a new lair, she couldn't bear to change it for some reason. Chickens like rice, right? Maybe it's not such a bad name after all then!

Her cockatrice familiar and pearlbond chicken seem to be seen as gods by the other chickens, who look at them with amazement. The cockatrice is a force to be reckoned with as well, and keeps away intruders from the chicken coop.
