Juniperus combines life-force and tech-based magic to care for the fauna and flora of the clan. He took over from Ginkgo in the maintenance of structural and defensive vines and plants. Additionally, he is called for when some of the clan familiars or herds need calming or convincing. He is one of the main proponents of increasing trade, discussion, and connections with the beastclans. He truly believes all souls are created equal in the eyes of the gods, even those with evil inclinations. Sometimes his eternally optimistic attitude and endless 'glass is half full' attitude can get a bit trying.

Although he appears fierce, he was born to parents who abhor violence, and only resorts to it when necessary. He led a relatively sheltered childhood. He studied with his father, a sorcerer, who taught him the ways of controlling the will of living things using suggestion rather than coercion (mostly). When young, Juniperus also learned the uses of many healing herbs in the nature realm.

Juniperus is named after a genus in the family Cupressaceae. The needle-leaves of junipers are hard and sharp, making the juvenile foliage very prickly to handle. The cones from a handful of species, especially Juniperus communis, are used as a spice, particularly in European cuisine, and also give gin its distinctive flavour. Greeks used the "berries" in many of their Olympics events because of their belief that they increased physical stamina in athletes
