Eotua's magic is very strong. In addition to the basic Shadow magic, she's capable of powerful magical displays. Turning an acre of land dark, temporarily (or permanently) blinding dragons, casting powerful shadow bolts that consume targets... Quite a few crazy abilities.
She's also got the ability to see into the future. This requires Eotua to go into a trance-like state, left alone for hours or even days at a time. Eotua will see several possible futures, and what would lead to each one. However, she can't use this ability too often-- otherwise, she begins crying greasy black sludge. If she ignored this rest period, who knows what would happen to her...
Eotua also has a knack for tarot cards and other fortune-telling methods.

All of Eotua's fancy candles, cloaks, and apparel is just for show. While she tells everyone that she needs all of this to receive visions, in reality, she does not.
Despite seeming mysterious at first glance, she is really friendly and enjoys a good chat / meal with anyone. Hatchlings are fascinated by the flames on her cloak and her magic candles, and she doesn't mind playing with them.
She believes that her visions are not the only outcome, but the most likely one. When sharing her visions with other dragons, she emphasizes that the future is not set in stone, and that even the most ominous fate can be avoided and the most hopeful future can be spoiled.
