Biography

Mortem

Ravenskull Broadsword White Raven Armor White Raven Talons

Mortem is a Burial Guardian. His death was unusual as he stayed in control of his mind thanks to the help of another dragon.

Tethys' Story

A group of travelers sit around a glowing fire, laughing and telling stories of monsters and dragons. A strong guardian strokes his dark beard "You, Star Child, tell us. How did you come to travel with us?" The young female glances at him "Are you sure, my journey is rather unbelievable." The dragons chuckle, as the guardian speaks "Child, we have seen things that most would never dream of, only the gods know the truth." The girl smiles "Alright, I shall start from the beginning."[/b]

"Knowledge is my god's gift, born a twin the magic spilt between my brother and I, we bare souls of the ancient Titans. My brother's voice, mutters no more for his burden has become to much. I wish I was so lucky. My "Gift" is one of sight, I see the truth. I can't not turn it off and heavens forbid I am touched, I am overcome with visions; the past, present, and futute. Nothing is a secret to me. My dear god was unaware of the soul I hold, so I gained no insight. The first Tethys speaks to me, she is my muse. Knowing the danger that was to come I made plans to leave there, but only when my dear brother "kills" me and sets his fate in motion.

My Death [/columns]

It was necessary, the only way to awaken Atlas's abilities was to make him use them. You would think this easy but I know better. My abilities hidden I seemed like an anxiety ridden wallflower and I was treated differently because of this. They treated me kinder then they did my brother thus causing him to grow to hate me. My only regret was Mortem, the young Imp shouldn't have been there that day. He shouldn't have died and because of that I cast a spell to make him a protector of my dear home.

Oh right, my death.

Well, you see, I baited him. I made my brother attack me and his attack should of killed me. It would've had Mortem not stepped between us, the dark and beautiful imp screamed in pain as fell before me. I had screamed for him to get up, to not die, to stay and protect them; Hematite, his dear lover, was first to arrive and like me she feel to her dear one's side holding his clawed hand as she wept silently. Kankakee and Kachina, our clan leaders, arrived next. Kachina came to Hematite and hugged her assuring that all would be ok. "Who did this?" Kankakee's deep voice demanded. "I-I-" stuttered Atlas. "It was my fault... I caused this.. He..." I had whispered through tears. Mortem's body moved; a shadow seemingly clung to him, unknowingly to the others. Kankakee growled deeply "Be Gone." "What?" Kachina questions. "We shall bury Mortem but these two" he gestures to the shocked twins "are no longer welcomed among us." In shock I stood, I hadn't forseen this.
Mortem shouldn't have died, my brother wasnt meant to face banishment and the brave dragon should have never became an emperor. I barely stopped it and it was only thanks to Raixen.

Shortly after that my brother cornered me and spoke the words that would change his world. "You, Tethys, my sister; I curse you. On this night, may your life end. May the stars above fall and scar you, blind you, leave you as nothing. Because that, Tethys, is all you are to me, Nothing." And it happened, the black sky lit up as if day, the heavenly white sphere in above us began turned to the color of blood and slowly it was consumed by darkness. The sky lit up as the stars streaked the sky and the world exploded into choas. The Shade danced around us, laughing, screaming, crying, all violently shoving towards me. I remember being scared, I though the shade were stories told to hatchlings to make them behave.
The dragon sit silently in anticipation as shadows bounded over Tethys' covered face. "So what happened, how did you survive?" Spoke an exctied masked male skydancer cloaked in black. Tethys' soft giggle echoed around them as she tilted her head up "I didn't. The shade killed me," she rubs her chest slighty hovering over her heart "they stabbed me here. The pain was unimaginable and I remember my brothers shout as he took control of his true power, I faintly remember his disbelief when the creatures obeyed." A soft touch grazed her shoulder, "Tethys" spoke a small green and grey fae "if.. If you died then how are you here?" "Little bird, I haven't a clue. My only guess is that my brother found a way to save me. After that, I met you at the waterfall. And you have been so kind to me." "The Guardian chuckles "What monsters would we have been, to leave a blind and injured teen alone in bandit territory? Are you sure you wish to leave us, my sweet star child?" Tethys smiles sadly "I love this life, being an assassin, fighting the corrupted, learning the secrets of the world that have been lost to the wars and expanding territories; but I want to settle down and maybe find my brother again.." "I understand. Thank you. For being one of us, but never forget." The guardian smiled as the skydancer continues "What has happened in your time as a nightingale, never occurred." A bog grinned at her "What was said was no more then a fevered dream." A female pearlcatcher tosses Tethys a bag of treasure "We are nothing more then Legends." The fae touches her forehead "And Never forget Tethys, we will always welcome you home." The group laughs and shares stories all through the night and at the first light Tethys left the group in search of her happy ending.
