Biography

ANASTASIA

The Leader

Anastasia is a strange, quiet, deadpan dragon, who often tries to hide her eyes under her hat and doesn't really like to mingle. She leads the Tempest Band; delegates the work, deals with especially troublesome customers, and decides where the tavern-inn's island goes.

Anastasia quite likes being looked over, actually. It saves her from talking to other dragons - she's basically only good at being intimidating, and then only with displays of her absolutely incredible wind magic and her general inscrutability, and she would much, much rather to be a surprise to whatever dragon decides to step just a bit too far out of line.

So usually, she uses her bow: both to hide her true abilities, and because most larger dragons won’t even feel the sting of a Fae arrow no matter how powerful the poison that coats the tip is. Her aim is impeccable, and the wind is always with her.

(Anastasia does not like the Tempest Band. It's a lot of pressure to run. She can't fly too far or adventure. Every time she sends a mercenary away to do a job, she has to wonder: am I getting them killed?)

(The truth is this: Anastasia and her Wind Sprite founded the Tempest Band by accident, by wanting to help a group of traumatized refugees. She has never wanted to lead.)
