*Her nymph familiar helps to keep her organised and on task, as she's easily distracted when not working
*Can appear distant to those she doesn't know well, due to all the pressure she's under
*Practices archery to relax, and is being taught by her close friend and fellow representative Jacks
*Nyx's partner, both romantic and work based, assists with her research

The arrow hit its mark on the wooden board with a satisfying thwack. Blake let her bow sink, giving her instructor Jacks a curt nod. "I think this is a good point to end today's lesson," Jacks said, smiling with pride at her friend's success.

On her way back to her study, she was still thinking about her progress in archery. Being able to defend yourself and others in battle was something she had always admired about others, especially her partner Nyx. She was looking forward to telling Nyx about her success today. Blake had been honing her skills for months now, and finally it started looking like she was actually getting better.

There was still work to do until she could meet up with Nyx, however. Stepping into her study, Blake was welcomed by another verdict to control – those were always a lot of work. She sighed. Being the clan leader was a difficult job indeed, but she was doing her work in the knowledge that it helped the life of everyone in the clan, which made it all worth it in the end.

Her familiar came fluttering over to her, already carrying a few rolled-up parchments that she would need as reference. "Thank you," she said and accepted the documents, smiling at the little sprite. She really appreciated all the extra help she got, but she found herself wishing that Nyx was here to keep her company. All work went off her claw much easier when her love was around.

She had no such luck today though, because Nyx was caught up in her own work. She was in the process of updating her star atlas, and if she wanted to be done until Starfall Celebration, she needed this time for her studies. Blake sighed again.

Suddenly, she felt a nudge against her leg. Looking down, she spotted her familiar holding a rectangular box before rising into the air and handing it to her.

"Huh?"

Blake turned the box around and saw the little note attached:

To Blake. May this sweeten your workday a bit. I am sorry that I cannot come over.

Feeling a little rush of excitement, Blake opened the box and found an arrangement of dark chocolates, decorated with little golden flakes that made them look a bit like the starry sky. Now that was typical.

Blake popped one in her mouth and sighed happily, thankful that Nyx was thinking of her even if she was so busy herself.

Well then, back to work. The sooner she finished, the sooner she could visit Nyx and deliver her thanks personally.
