Quote:
1. Where do you live on your flight's map?
that part with the ruins but that isnt the forum of the obscured crescent

2. What does it look like before you enter? What is the grand facade that you show to the world that this, THIS is your home!
giant ancient ruins covered in brambles
also next to a cave
also includes part of ghostlight ruins

3. Now let’s work on the inside. What facilities will you need to service your clan? Try drawing a map!
Ideas include:
Sleeping areas basically like traditional bedrooms, can have brambles at the entrance if the derg doesnt like visitors also where hoards go
Storage for: Food, Hoardstuff (what do you hoard?), Metals,: covered in brambles to ward off thieves
individual dergs can have their own hoards
Hatchery eggs stay with the parents
Beastmaster area for keeping familiars fams are pets
Research: Library, Magic, Schooling (basic knowledge, flight school, magic training etc), abandoned libraries in the ruins
Production: Forge, Winery, Kitchen, Farms, Potions or Brewing, Textiles, Jewelry,
in some of the abandoned ruins
everything surrounded by brambles btw
Spot to assemble hunters and gatherers entrance
Other: Trading Post, Shop, Doctor/Pharmacy, Pantry, Hoard, Cellar, Prison, Barracks for guards and/or patrols, Gardens or other types of decoration.
decorations are everywhere
other things in the ruins

4. Since you have that map out, do you stick to FR’s official dragon sizes? no

5. It’s a good time to think about technology.
How technologically advanced is your clan? Do they live in "traditional" caves or a grand palace built by the best craftsmen with all the modern comforts of a home?
both except instead its abandoned buildings
Do they use tools to help them hunt or is it all claws and teeth? What about armor? Is it used for hunting or strictly for battle?
whatever the individual dragon wants
What about comforts? Do you use electricity or torches?
magic only
even dergs that prefer to use physical attacks in battle will use some magic
glowy mushrooms
Is there air conditioning or heaters?
no need for ac its always cold
no heaters dergs wanting such are told 'politely' to move next door to light
What do the beds look like? If you use blankets, who makes them?
i guess individual members responsible for their own beds and such
What does your hatchery or nursery look like?
parents raise, teach, train their own children
Is your clan literate?
yes

1. Let’s talk about invaders. Other dragons, beastclan, maybe an angry bug that just wants a new home and is drilling in your tree... How defendable is your lair? If something were to get in, how would it do it? Do you build your own defences or are there natural structures in your lair that discourages such a thing. Now’s a good time to revisit that map of your lair…
the brambles
also theres more brambles surrounding valuables
and throughout the lairs

2. How is justice dealt with in your clan? There’s bound to be squabbles and consequences. Do you have a jail? Maybe a full blown prison. Or maybe a guillotine.
trouble makers are kicked out i guess

3. Okay, focus on something more fun: The hoard! Do individual dragons have hoards of their own? Where is that kept?
individuals are responsible for their own hoards
kept in their rooms
Quote:
1. What social structure do you use? Is it a Monarchy? Oligarchy? Autocracy? Tribal System? A Commune? If you’re stuck, the wiki page on government can help clear things up. Or use FR’s own title guide.
individualist constitutional monarchy
the leader (thanatos) chooses who can enter but anyone can leave if they want

3. Okay, now that you’ve got a basic idea of personalities, how do these 5 dragons interact with each other? Are they lovers? Friends? Rivals?
members tend to get along since basically it is hard for anyone who doesnt have a similar temperament to get in
basically there are no happy-go-lucky or very extraverted dragons
everyone is withdrawn
Are they higher or lower rank on the social structure?
there is no hierarchy except for the leader thanatos who owns the land and is the leader for that reason
Quote:
1. What kind of resources does your territory have? Is there something in abundance?
mushrooms, plants (that plague and shadow dergs would like most), meat, insects, gems (from cave)
What about a deficiency? How does this affect the lives of your dragons?
ice outside of winter (have to use shadow goop instead for perishables), direct sunlight, seafood (not directly on territory so rbs and coatls will have to get it themselves unless another seafood eater wants to share), plants that plant-eating nature/light/fire dragons would enjoy (they just leave territory to gather if they have cravings)

2. Do you dragons trade with other clans? What kinds of things does your clan produce that others might want?
strange artifacts that might interest plage/shadow clans, other than that idk, maybe battle spoils
Is there a dragon in your clan that wants certain things from somewhere else? A nature dragon living in ice might want something from the lands of their birth for example. Do these dragons get their wishes fulfilled or are they put aside for the needs of the clan?
they can wait for a gatherer to pick up something they are interested in (but that the gather doesnt want) or they can get it themselves

3. How does your clan treat guests? Is there a reason other dragons would or would not want to visit your clan?
wary unless the guest is there to do business
individual dragons react differently to different guests
visitors from plague and shadow and maybe ice would feel most welcome
visitors from nature and light might find the territory ominous

impressions:
dragons seen as cold and uninviting by light, nature, fire, etc idk
seem fine to shadow, ice, plague if not a bit too serious and gloomy

4. How’s the weather? What do seasons look like to you in your flight?

ok theres lots of borders so i think it will change depending on location in flight
i looked at the map i think my clan would be in flying distance (basically derg equivalent of driving distance) of water and light

winter: not as cold as the center of shadow but still freezing

spring (wet): cold and rainy
less dark than winter but still dark

summer (dry): cool and humid
ice flight is warmer i think bc it would probably be daytime the entire summer
summer in shadow still dark but probably more of a sunset the entire summer

fall (wet): cold and rainy
Quote:
1. Make a list of jobs you need off the top of your head based on what lair structures you came up with in chapter 1 and what jobs you might want your dragons to have..

gatherer:
if someone is a picky eater or wants a specific item then they will probably be forced to join others to gather things
dergs that arent picky dont have to if they dont want to since theres tons of stuff in the territory except for seafood
for the unfortunate part ridgebacks (also coatls but at least theyre not afraid of water) expected to join fishing at least sometimes
some dergs find this amusing and will join every fishing expedition just to see what happens
also trades with other clans
also dergs get their own personal stockpiles so if a ridgeback runs out of seafood they have to get more (plague, ice, water ridgebacks dont seem to mind and seem to have endless stockpiles of seafood)
also gatherers have a privilege of being able to keep all of the items they found and donate anything they dont want or like

fighter:
basically anyone who wants a specific item from battle

guard:
lives near potential entryways and monitors brambles
job is only open to bulky breeds like snappers, ridgebacks, guardians, imps maybe
might even have to sleep in the brambles so they get woken up by intruders
also some to wait for gatherers to return

leader:
a literal emperor
very behind-the-scenes and has never been seen by most of the clan
