||The First-Born of Spectacular Sight||



Several days after the All-Mothers transformation no one was really expecting this odd event to tie into anything else. While it had taken everyone some time to adjust to new members different eyes Salazar and Gerard had been unaffected by the event so the mates decided their was no cause for concern if they were to have another clutch. After only producing a single egg they were a bit upset but cared for it nonetheless but with a tinge of concern. Time passed as it should and the egg hatched without issue, a healthy Tundra boy was brought into the world. They both received a shock upon their child opening his eyes... his many eyes in fact, new pairs seemingly blossoming from under his fur. At first his parents were shocked into silence, then of course they ran screaming to the clans healer. Knowing of Salazar’s reputation for pranks it was brushed off at first but after constant insistence from his mate that it wasn’t a full examination was done but turned up no issue. He was perfectly healthy.

The new hatchling gained a lot of attention within the clan before being given the name Oracle, the clan asked around and found these changes were happening all over the land and seemed to be nothing worth worrying about. Oracle himself is a typical Tundra, easily forgetful but enjoys a prank with his father, of course their favourite is him going up to new members with all of his additional eyes closed only to open and close them at random until the other dragon takes notice and panics. The clans healer, Jumanji has taken great medical interest in him and continues to provide him with regular check ups to keep his parents at ease but also fulfill her own curiosity.

According to Oracle the eyes are constantly able to see but their vision is weak and blurry but they see enough that no one is able to sneak up on up, a game they play is he had to guess who is coming towards him by their vague shape alone. In addition to Jumanji the All-Mother tried to teach him to have better sight in his additional eyes, these sessions are much less frequent of course. Oracle claims that she sometimes visits him in his dreams but other clan members are skeptical saying he is just dreaming of her instead.

Oracle is a night guard in training, his colours make him perfect for the job and the multi sight could be very beneficial to a guard position. He just needs to get very with his additional eyes first.. Its proving rather slow, some even joking all the extra eyes might need glasses. This hasn't stopped him from trying however, regular check ups with the doctor and small one on one sessions with the All-Mother every month or so there has been some improvement to his short ranged vision but long range still needs work. When he's not training he has a smaller guard role as he does nightly parole within the lair to keep his internal clock adjusted and so the night watch know he is fit for the role. He's mostly just caught naughty hatchlings out of bed but he has found a cheeky familiar or two trying to steal food from the hoard. All in a days work.
