Biography
'Never date an ancient horror' is the motto Asthen lives by, even though, it is a bit too late for that. See, the boundless wisdom may be a bit alluring, the difference in worldly experience may make you believe that they are the most amazing dragon you've ever dated, but when one day, after a nice breakfast, you discover that your limbs aren't stuck to your body anymore, it kinda fouls the relationship.
Asthen was a simple tinkerer, sure, sometimes he tried to dabble in the occult, but it was all harmless entertainment and nothing serious.. if you believe that.
Meeting Almandine was like a dream come true, she had all the answers to his questions. So, maybe it was due to her influence, maybe she herself is afflicted with something beyond the obvious or maybe it was something he himself did, but somehow Asthen had acquired a... condition.
There isn't much of his original organic matter left on him, sometimes just things... fall off.. Any lesser dragon would have fallen apart bit by bit and that would have been the end of this tale, but Asthen is not so easily swept away. He is determined, anything of low importance enough to be lost, can be replaced with more durable parts, anything of a bit higher importance to be lost can be reacquired.
He finds it a bit odd that the limbs he had used before they fell off are useless to him now, but limbs of a different origin, for a time, can be used with some merit. His ex, who probably caused this mess in the first place (no way could have his dabblings in the forbidden done anything), can provide the needed organic replacements at least. For a price. They're pretty cheap, definitely drop by the clinic while you're visiting the village!
