Luz, daughter of Bonefleck

She was born like all of her siblings, full grown, dusty, from the clay and bones of whatever her mother had dragged together and breathed her magic into, putting life into things nobody asked life to go. She was taller and stronger than both her parents, though that was not enough to make them look at her. She was soft but well-spoken, though that was not enough either. It wasn't until she was playing with the dirt and shattered bone fragments, just pushing them back and forth with her long pale fingers. She sighed, the sigh of someone who didn't know anything but emptyness in life- and when she pulled her hands away the bone fragments kept moving. They became little bony bugs and tiny pale mice and scattered from her in silence.

That's when they finally looked at her. 		----
