Bonemeal is an old soul. He interacts less and less with others every year, and is growing more and more silent. These days he mostly follows his mate on errands as she practices her occult art, raising bones and other materials he helps find and dig out of the ground. He is pleased with their work and it anchors his mind to the present, keeps him from fading into a pile of bones.

Bonemeal lets his mate decorate him with some of the most beautiful bones they find during scavenging, and they have artisans from the coast create jewelry from specimens unfit to keep whole. They live in the Abby most of the year, though they detest the heat and will sometimes disappear in the peak of the summer to gods know where, to escape the sun.

He makes sure to leave out any bones they need sun-bleached of course, so they are ready when the two return.

He really loves his bones...
