Unnamed

It was another night in the Shifting Expanse. Yet another night without Yaen there, only Notcis and the other hatchlings. Where had she gone? Why didn't anyone speak about it? This was the longest she'd ever left. Usually it'd only be for a little under a day, usually less. But now.. she'd been gone double that at most.

The Ridgeback nudged along a rock she'd found near the clan, creating a small little path she walked behind. She kept pushing it along as she went, not realising how far she was pushing the pebble as she pondered over her thoughts with Yaen. She didn't snap out of her own thoughts until she suddenly slipped forward, the rock disapearing in a small black stream that the Ridgeback soon tumbled in after.

She quickly crawled to the streams back and dragged herself out, looking at her surroundings. She stood in awe at the place, for she was no longer in the Shifted Expanse. She wasn't quite sure where this was though. Wherever it was, it was close enough to home for her to have walked. She had turned back to look at the path she had been making, even though this place seemed interesting, she should probably head back to her clan. But to surprise, her path was gone. There wasn't a trace of it at all. How could it have disapeared? She was just walking on it a moment ago.

After crossing the small stream, she went to investigate the missing path. But there was no sign of it, like it had never been there. There was barely any sign of her footprints either, which were washed away by the drops of water sliding off her scales.

She looked down at her wings and arms for a moment. Seeing all the water on the ground around her, it was a bit confusing as to why she didn't feel wet at all. She usually hated the taste and touch of water. Why wasn't she feeling distasteful of it now? Of course she would like to avoid the streams and slushy ground, but it wasn't causing that horrible of a reaction in her like usual. Why was that?

She shook her head, she needed to find out how to get out of this new place and go back to the clan before Noctis or Yaen came back. She'd surely be in trouble if they found out she went off on her own.
