”Kevlar, you see it too, right? There he blinks again, there’s something in his eye, there must be!” “Luna, I think we should show Glimmer, she might have some answers for us.”

Sandy was the first in the clan born with the different eye colors, first with rare as well. As a hatchling, his parents checked him with the doctors Glimmer and Clove only to find that he was perfectly health, in fact even more than normal hatchlings.

Sandy tends to stray off only, his family tries to wander after him too but he proves elusive. He has found his own place in the woods and seems to be more intune with nature himself. He often practices Nature magic, growing plants that seemed almost impossible to find anywhere in the forest. Sandy looks into taking care of the forest and is constantly questioned about his eyes by others. But he isn’t the only one who’ll be investigating the eyes, Caretakers noticed these things too.

Day 6: I’ve been having dreams that still linger even from a hatchling. Some voice in the back of my head that calls to me asking for help. It sounds like a child, a girl, but she’s afraid of the red. She tells me that I need to help her or it’ll get us all, but every time I ask what “it” is, I wake up. I’ve been talking with my nephew, Spyro, about places in the forest that are red but only the meadow seems to be this way. I’ve been searching as well but have found nothing. I finally have my adult wings now and I won’t give up. Not till I find it.

Sandy has taken up the charge of exploring the Dragonhome as part of his guild, the Traveling Truffles. Though he does his job cataloging and meeting new people, creatures, and flora, he also goes out of his way to monitor differences in powers and eye types that dragon have been getting since the bounty of elements. He monitors these differences as his own personal hobby and studies them, mostly because he was the first in his clan to get powers from his eyes. Sandy can grow any plant regardless of soil content, water, or light which is quite useful when you need cover, food, or medicine while out on the road. While out in the field doing his job he will show off his powers in hopes to get others with different eye types to show off their own unique powers. So far each power seems unique to each dragon but all based on their home element.

Sandy, while being elusive around most dragons, is actually a quite talkative dragon and loves to give nature themed gifts to those brave enough to enter his property for a conversation. Many of these dragons end up being those with interesting eyes types asking about similarities in powers or advice about controlling it. Sandy loves to chat about this topic so in his free time, and at the request of Bobcat, Sandy has recently come in to the mage school to talk to those with powers and how they shouldn't be afraid of them. Though all Nature dragons have the same nature power of being able to summon plant based attacks, those with different eye types seem to be able to have a special ability rather than just an attack power.

His slight eyewing seem to take to Sandy right away with his interest in the eyes. During work, it will even watch out for any obstacles, traps, or other dangers like enemies so Sandy can either dodge them or use his special ability to nullify. When not at work, this bird loves to watch for Tricksters to curious dragons interested in Sandy's work. It also helps Sandy sort through his documents as he has quite a lot being mixed together with work and his own hobbies. Helena doesn't really enjoy getting the wrong papers either so its always helpful to get an extra set of eyes to check over his work before he submits them.

Sandy wasn't always a Traveling Truffle as he wanted to actually explore the Nature Domain to find the voice that was in his mind for much of his early childhood. Though after finding nothing but dead ends n traveling through the domain, he began to look at a new angle of cracking the correlation of eyes to home domains which helped him crack some mysteries over several connections in the domain which ultimately led up to the reveal of the jackalvine. Sandy has warned Lavender about these connections of the Viridian Labyrinth calling out to the dragons who inhabit it through their eye connections. As of such Lavender kept close eyes onto her own daughter when she was born with primal eyes. Because of this eye discovery and his want to explore the world to see these other eyes and their connections to their own domains' problems he found that when he was approached by Helena to find a new replacement for the Earth explorer, he happily agreed. Though soon he realized that their were dragons out in the world causing more problems after the words of the elemental leader. As of such he felt bad taking Bolt's job as he was moved from Earth to Light by Helena since it was to dangerous for her and other dragons to return to Sunbeam Ruins because of the Castigators. This got Bolt and him to have an awkward relationship at meetings with the guild though Bolt never was aggressive toward Sandy but only because Sandy gave him a special souvenir from that domain to help Bolt get over all the new dragons he met on his travels and had befriended. Sandy also learned that Bolt was chosen since his colors matched that of the Castigators so they would be very willing to let him be if the saw him in their domain. Sandy was hurt by these rumors and worries that if powers are emerging in him if they'll emerge in newer members of this group.
