“Oooh, v-v-visitors?” The spiral sensed them before they had a chance to approach. As he
turned to face them they were nearly blinded by his glowing green eyes and underbelly. His skin
pulsated and fireflies buzzed around him in hoards. The dragon had a very noticeable stutter.
Bucky glanced over to Depths, worried about what they were getting themselves into this time.
Weren’t they just trying to get a toad? They had been searching all over and unfortunately this
dragon seemed to be the most likely candidate. The spiral approached, green goop splatting
onto the ground “hello t-t-t-there. It’s-s-s s-s-strange bu-but I thought you m-might be coming.
You want thi-thi-this yes?” He flicked his tail up and a Curious Kettle skittered out from behind
him, splashing more goo out of his open top around the already stained floorboards. “I can
g-g-give you this kett-t-ttle of mine but I nee-nee-need a replacement.” Depths groaned “Why
don’t we just get a pot from the replacement dragon then!” “No, I do-do-don’t need a new one,
just a new f-f-familiar” “Okay then what do you want?” Depths was getting a bit exhausted from
all this errand run and Bucky was beginning to get pretty irritated too. Looking off to the distance
the spiral answered “ Not what b-b-b-but who.” He paused then for a moment, pointing up at the
setting sun “The g-g-greeks had a fun-funny word for t-t-th-that”
