Biography

King || Commander
King || Commander
S T O R Y
In his early days, after he left his first clan in pursuit of his charge, Desrith was rather reckless, hot-headed, and quick to fight. The scars adorning his body, most of which are now covered by his armor, are nearly one for one for the amount of fights he has partaken in. This all changed when he met his charge, however. No longer reckless for the sake of being reckless, meeting his charge gave him a reason to be careful in his actions, so he could protect Agyroese as long as he could. What he did not anticipate about meeting the Skydancer, was that he would end up falling madly in love with her, as she did with him. The pair danced around the subject for quite a while as they travelled across the Scarred Wasteland, but once they were together, it didn't take long at all for a pair of green eggs to join the pair in their adventures. Agyroese often carried the eggs in a pouch at her side while Desrith hunted, and Desrith would carry them while his mate slept on his back as they walked. Eventually, however, the two decided it would be best to find someplace to settle down and call their own, preferably before the eggs hatched, and so their journey turned into a search for a new home. Luckily, they were able to find somewhere to stay fairly quickly, a cave, hidden by a thick wall of brambles, and nearby to a lake and a forested area where they could get all the food they and their hatchlings needed. The perfect place to hide their eggs from the predators of the area. Agyroese had waited outside while Desrith cleared the cave of anything dangerous, before setting up a nest for the eggs. And so there they had made their home. They had no intention at first of starting a clan in the cave, but fate, it seemed, had other things in mind. After the first few wandering dragons had passed their home, Desrith and Agyroese decided that they would begin offering those who passed by a place to stay for the night. By this time the eggs had hatched, and their two hatchlings, Alavos and Ryxaka, played the day away in the cave nearly every day. The first dragon to stay longer than one night had been Andumerus. From there, their new clan grew and grew, to the size of a small city. They call him king now, and look to him for guidance. Even know, though, years after this trend had begun, Desrith still sometimes feels that he doesn’t do a good enough job, despite those close to him telling him that he does more than enough. |

Dead grass crunched beneath his feet as Desrith made his way through the valley, careful to avoid the bramble bushes that would stick to his legs or wings. On his back, Agyroese lied curled up around a messenger bag containing their two green eggs protectively. The pair had been searching for a place to call home for a few weeks now, and had to find one soon if they wanted to do so before the eggs hatched. It would be any day now, or so Agyroese suspected.
Desrith paused, frowning, pacing back and forth to try and find a way past what appeared to be a wall of brambles blocking their path. Agyroese lifted her head worriedly, sensing his frustration. “Is everything okay?”
He sighs, and stops his pacing to look back and nuzzles his face against his mate’s. “Yes, but I don’t think we can go any further this way, at least not if we’re walking. We might be able to fly over, but…”
She continues for him, sharing his worries, “It could put the eggs at risk. Then let’s go back. We can find another way.”
Desrith gives another nod, and looks to the eggs in the bag fondly before moving to turn around and make his way back through the valley on foot, until something catches his eye and he stops again. It looked like a small opening, just big enough for a small Imperial to be able to squeeze through. Agyroese seemed to have seen the same thing, and gathered up the egg bag in her arms before climbing off of his back.
“Do you want to check it out?” She asked, and when Desrith gave a sound of agreement, she continued, “I can wait outside with the eggs.”
Desrith didn’t want her to be put in any danger, so he agreed for her to wait outside while he checked out the hole in the bramble bush.
It took a little effort to get through, but a few quick swipes from his claws widened the gap enough to allow him passage. Inside, he was pleasantly surprised to find the entrance to a cave past the brambles. Walking further in showed him just how vast the cave was, how far back it went. As it was right then, he couldn’t actually see how far back the cave went, but so far it didn’t seem like the cave held anything dangerous.
He turned back, and went to go get Agyroese to bring her inside, excited that they might not have to keep searching for a place to call home. Agyroese seemed apprehensive, but also excited to have found somewhere to call home. She cast a quick spell, illuminating the area around them, and made her way to a small room-like area near the entrance to set up a small nursery for their eggs. For the next few weeks, the pair set to work cleaning up the cave, and setting up a candle light system to find their way around. It would be tough work, especially once their eggs hatched and two hatchlings joined them in their home, but they made that cave their home.
