Backstory: How he Became King
Attin is the youngest of a golden family... literally. Pure gold seems to be woven into the family's scales. Attin is one in 5, since he last spoke with them, meaning his mother, Zemira, his father, Loftus, his sister, Unnamed (but her nickname was Magma), and his 3 brothers, Unnamed (nickname, Number), Lightbringer, and Golden, though he only ever met Golden when they were all extremely young. Zemira and Loftus were not the first to gain possession to the golden colors. They've been passed down through the family for many, many generations, maybe Attin's Great-Great-Great-Great Grandparents or so. But Attin didn't care what color he was. His mind was set on a bigger journey, one that would make himself known.
When Attin was just a hatchling, he always wanted to explore, and when he was old enough to wander around out of his lair, he accidentally wondered off from his Shadow den.
One day, Attin was playing with Number, Lightbringer, and Magma, tumbling and not having a care in the world. Attin's sister jumped on him and sent him rolling downhill from his home a bit. When he stood up, he heard Magma screech, and when he looked back up the hill, she looked terrified and ran. Attin shrugged and looked around where he was. Immediatly, he realized where he was. This was the Field of Doom, a field where monsters rose up out of the ground and attacked anyone who touched the field. Also, in the night, the field disappeared, and in its place was one humungous hole, with no bottom that you could see. It was already afternoon, and Attin could see a small hole starting to get bigger and bigger in the middle of the field. Attin ran, but he was siezed on his left leg and he realized that one of the monsters had grabbed him. Its hand was slimy and cold, all black and smoking in long, slimy updrafts. Attin screamed and pulled, bit the hand and kicked the monster with all his might. But his grasp was too tight. Attin was slowly being dragged into the growing hole. This is the end, he thought. Maybe I'll be able to see Grandma and Poppy, they'll welcome me with open wings. But I never got to be known around the world. Attin began to cry, sobs that could probably be heard all the way to the Light lands. Then, Loftus and Zemira appeared at the top of the hill. Zemira called down to him, trying to stop him from panicing, while Loftus rushed down to rescue him. But the monster had a tight grasp on him, and the whole was almost as big as the field, the moon now shining into the whole. Then, it happened. Attin fell, straight into the whole, the monster now letting him fall down freely. Attin closed his eyes.
A bright light shone, from somewhere to his right. Attin's everything hurt, and he opened his eyes so slowly that it was as if he was a new spicies of slug, slower than any animal ever. When his eyes were wide open, he looked around. The light was coming from a single candle, making the black, cave-like room an eery orange. Then a figure appeared, big and strong-looking.
"It's ok, young one, I won't hut you." The figure came into the light, and Attin relaxed. It was just a harmless-looking Guardian. Attin was still terrified though, so his voice was shaky.
"U-um, h-hi, G-guar-r-dian. Wh-h-ho a-are y-y-you?" The Guardian smiled.
"I am Shaidod, young one. And you?" Attin was a little bit more brave now.
"I-I'm Attin. W-where are w-we?"
"This is one of the secret entrances to my lair. I was taking a patrol, and I'm lucky I did." Attin bowed right away. Leader possition was the most important role in all of dragon history. Shaidod laughed, hearty and down to earth.
"Wow sir, I've always wanted to be a leader. May I see your home, sir?" Attin looked up at Shaidod with sparkling eyes. Shaidod smiled broadly.
"Of course, young Attin. And I may be able to do something about that leader problem of yours." Attin was very confused, but he followed Shaidod down the deep dark passageways of the underground caves.
Deep in the tunnels, Attin built up courage and asked Shaidod some of the questions he'd been longing to ask.
"Um, sir Shaidod?"
"Please, young Attin, call me Shaidod."
"Shaidod? Don't those monsters live in here?"
"what monsters young one?"
"You know, the monsters of the Field of Doom, where I fell in."
"Ah, those monsters." Shaidod chuckled. "Those, Attin, actually aren't monsters. They are some of the dragons of my clan, the Sirions."
"But, why did that one throw me into the pit into your lair, then?" Attin had to almost run to keep up with Shaidod, he was so big.
"Auhhh, that was probably Suhail, a Spiral member of my lair... loves to drag dragons down here." Attin smiled, then asked the qustion he'd been longing to.
"Um, Shaidod?"
"Yes, young one?"
"Um, what do you mean, you may be able to do something about my leader dream?" At that, Shaidod laughed.
"Hm-hm, ah, you see, young Attin, I am getting old, and the older I get the harder it is for me to run my clan. I've been searching everywhere for a replacement, because none of the Sirions have the gut to do it." Attin and Shaidod both laughed.
"So, a-are you suggesting-?"
"That you take my place?" Yes, I am, Attin." Attin was too happy to speak, but his face was only a smile.
The Sirions were very nice, and Attin became good friends with Suhail right away. But he made quicker friends with a different Spiral, one named Mipha. She was just a bit younger than Attin, and they immedietly became friends. When Attin got older, he began training with Shaidod to become leader. It was hard, but after pretty much a full year, Attin was ready, fully grown with his best friend Mipha. Now he is the leader of the Sirions, living very happily, his dream achieved. And when the cave of the Sirions in the Shadow lands colapsed, Attin lead the Sirions to the Earth lands and found them a new home.

____Attin is frisky and energenic, though he can be very stern when he must. He also has slight anger issues, but they only show when he's very angry. Luckily, Mipha knows how to calm him down.

_Side Lore:
How he was Overthrown_
____On a windy March morning, Attin heard murmurs among the clan. Attin wondered what they were talking about. When he wisped by they turned silent, then started talking again after he past and turned into the throne room.
Here, Attin turned face-to-face with one of the newest members, Sade. She snarled at him. He looked at her, confused.
"What is up with you, Sade? Everyone seems to be acting quite strange," Attin asked, puzzled. Sade smirked ominously.
"You have no idea, do you?" Attin didn't like when people said things like this.
"I am your king! Tell me what's going on!" This time, Sade laughed, but it wasn't a pleasant laugh.
"Dear, old Attin. You must understand, you're becoming old. Poor Shaidod's ways are falling. The clan has been rethinking their honor to you. They're ready for a change." Attin's mind was racing. What was she saying? He let out an ominous noise from the back of his throat. He had known Sade would be trouble from the day she joined.
"You will not speak for my people! I'm going to have to ask you to leave," he growled.
"Oh but I do not speak for your people. They say this themselves." Sade nodded behind Attin, and he turned cautiously. There, behind him, were almost all of his people. Many nodded, otherwise looking grimly back. Mipha and Nita were among them, being held back by other dragons.
"Let my family go!" He snarled.
"Oh no need to worry, king. They won't be harmed, just like Shaidod and Roara." She looked Attin over. "You on the other hand, won't be as lucky." Attin turned on Sade again, his temper high.
"You are no longer welcome here, Sade. Leave now and I won't hurt you."
"Oh but that's what we want, Attin. We no longer want a king. We demand a battle for the throne!" With no further warning, Sade launched herself upon Attin and started clawing at his long, golden body. He roared in pain and anger and started to fight back. Most of the clan were cheering on Sade in all manner of voices, and only a few stayed quiet.
It was a deadly battle, with much bloodshed and cries. In the end, however, one dragon always has to win.
Sade gripped Attin's neck with her sharp teeth and flung him to the ground, placing her clawed feet on him to keep him down.
"Surrender, Spiral. Your reign is over." She let him go and he gasped for breath, rolling away. "I will kindly allow you to keep your horrible name of a Sirion, but never shall you own us again. We are a free clan!" She bounded up to the throne and called over a few other dragons. Without further instruction, as if they knew Sade would defeat Attin, they crushed the throne. She then announced, "Now, I know that some of you may wish that Attin was still your king, but no longer shall he reign! We are all now free, and though we may still hold the name as the Sirions, we hold it with pride, as the ones who overthrew the one who kept us in shame."
Slowly Attin grew stronger, but was looked upon no longer as a king.
