Biography

Magni Runeson | the Overseer of Defence
A wee bit unpleasant, but mostly a decent guy, Magni isn't the life of the party. Or invited, actually, as he's a fairly disagreeable dragon most prefer keeping at a distance. He keeps to himself, content with his solitude and lonely home, and most will never know the loyal, fierce dragon hiding beneath his sharp words and spiteful insults.

This he will declare every time someone makes an inquiry about his odd protectiveness that sparks at the slightest notion of a threat, yet he will never elaborate further about it. And he will honour that sentiment always, standing up even for the dragons he would otherwise gladly knock off a cliff, and any time an outsider gets uppity with one of Valhall's own Magni will be at their throats in a heartbeat. He will do something about such things; usually something violent. Because in Magni's world, violence does solve most things. His lack of patience is oftentimes a trigger for many of his squabbles with those around him, and if not that his irritable disposition does him no favours. With his brothers, he's even worse, and smacks and curses are the default for any conversation among the Runeson brothers... ... to the despair of those around them. Most of his days consist of maintenance work on Valhall's various means of defence, often seeing him working alongside the Council itself or the Sæmi-ligr's Peacekeepers. His tactical mind stood out since his arrival, and Magni was given the chance to prove himself within long, which landed him the position he holds and now takes great pride in. His knowledge is vast and deep on all matters related to their defences by now, and he knows their wards inside out. Few know as much of he of the inner workings of Valhall and fewer still will ever know it. For not all dragons posses Magni's unique blend of fiercely protective, but ruthlessly efficient. Where others see troubles, he sees solutions, and Magni doesn't let nonsensical feelings or worries about what others might think affect his work in the slightest. Proper defence requires a hard mind, one Magni has earned through hardships and years spent wandering alongside only his dearest brother, and it finally serves him well to be as hardened as he is. And though he won't admit it, it is good to finally have a home, a family worth fighting for that isn't built solely on flesh and blood and responsibilities born from a shared heritage. | _ |
