Battlerage

Dedicated, loyal, and violent, Battlerage fights alongside her queen as a means of expressing the ever present anger simmering away inside of her, and to protect those she cares about so dearly. She wears a mask to strike fear into the hearts of her enemies and to keep a sharp line between her daily duties, and time spent with friends.

A fearsome dragoness and a steadfast friend, she trains relentlessly, her appearance on a battlefield spelling doom for those who seek to oppose her clan or harm those she cares about. While some say she has a heart of steel, she much prefers to say she has claws of steel.

Background: Battlerage has been aggressive since birth, eager to launch herself forward to protect others since just out of the egg. It earned her her name while still in the nursery, as she started expressing anger early, particularly on behalf of others.

While not always a gentle dragon, she is a deeply caring one that is intensely attached to her friends and clanmates. She discovered as a young dragon that her skill and ferocity would earn the sorts of enmity that would put those around her in danger. Following serious injuries, she began donning a mask for battle along with her glorious golden armor to render herself more difficult to recognize outside of combat. More difficult to strike at those she cares about.

It’s also something that helps her keep the anger she handles and expresses in battle out of her every day life, providing a dividing line between the parts of her lives where she fights for her friends and the parts of her life where she spends more time with them.

Relationships: Her strongest and most visible relationship is her service to the queen, she lets that relationship provide her with a sort of purpose, focus, a gauge of control. While she also considers her queen a friend, it is a relationship, a friendship, that also serves as something of an emotional touchstone.

That is hardly her only friendship, however. While she sets forth a rather imposing front, quite deliberately, she’s a deeply caring dragon who has a network of friends she protects rather ferociously. She spends as much time with all of them as she can get.

Daily Life: Battlerage’s everyday life is split between her constant and unrelenting training, training to near exhaustion, and spending time with her friends and those close to her. She will often attend meetings with her queen where she serves as an implied threat, but much of her daily routine is something that is spent alone.

Which usually means most of her leisure time, most of the time she takes for herself, is spent in the company of her friends, enjoying herself and relaxing with those closest to her; those that have taken the time to see past her mask and her claws of steel.

Goals: Fight on behalf of her queen, protect her friends, channel her aggression and violence in a productive direction
