B I O G R A P H Y

Turtle is the resident grumpy old man who has no time for anything outside of his projects and gadgets. He is the happiest when he gets to be in his shop at his workbench building items and cursing when they don't work until they finally do. He is gruff, but does care about his clan and is more informed of the general goings-on than he will admit or let on. He has built high tech shelving that has allowed for easier sorting and storage of goods that are gathered by the clan as well as a wardrobe station that allows members to see their options quickly and easily without rummaging through drawers and closets. Even though he has a soft spot the hatchlings he is one of the first ones to run them out of an area. Particularly if they are in his work space.
He is close with Snowmelt as the only other Snapper in the clan and humors her by wearing the hat she got him even though it does not fit. He spends more of his evening spending time with her and generally taking time to good-naturedly bully the hatchlings while she entertains them and keeps track of them. They were once something of a couple, but their relationship has evolved to friendship and deep understanding. Neither of them has taken a different mate, and they are the general definition of an old married couple.
One of his first creations was a metal winged golem to fetch him things off from higher shelves and bring him small tools he needs as he works. He named it "Seltzer" and it has a personality that lends itself to pranks and shenanigans and is a favourite among the hatchlings. Another early creation was a scroll organizer that reads parchments and categorizes them so that Snowmelt doesn't need to dig through the whole storage area for her stories and records. This has proven especially helpful since the arrival of Snowmelt's "assistant" who is prone to disorganization and struggles with remembering what goes where. Neither of them have had the heart to point the contraption out to the poor dear.
He's a gruff softy that acts more like a grandpa than he ought to at his age, and loves his clan. He enjoys finding ways to automate and simplify the daily affairs of his clan so they can spend more time doing things without needing as much time to find resources to do it. When The Shade took over his clan he was one of the very few who escaped the influence. He worked tirelessly to find ways to contain who he could and to try to find ways to free them.
