"Who are you?"
My name is Sam, I'm from the Netherlands! I've been playing this game for quite a while ever since I looked up "dragon adopting game". I started with Chicken-smoothie but kind of abandoned that site due to Flight Rising holding on to my attention span better. I've been playing everyday since I joined with a few weeks in between when life got a little hectic or when there was a lack of inspiration or things were just too new for me to understand.


"Do you exalt dragons?"
Nope! This lair is not an exalting lair. If I ever buy a dragon from you, expect it to be loved and cherished forever. sometimes I might take a while until I've got plans for them, but they always end up with an outfit and some sort of story.


"Do you breed fodder dragons?"
I have recently started doing this! I put the fodder pairs in the correct tab, but will not be treating them as just fodder breeders. They'll get outfits and maybe some sort of story too.



"Is dragon X or Y for sale/trade?"
Never wrong to ask if a dragon is for sale! Though, if they have an outfit linked in their bio or lore written down, then they are most likely not for sale.
excluding the 3rd page of the "Unnamed" tab though, I put all dragons for sale on the 3rd page, if its empty then theres none for sale!


"Can I send you a random friend request?"
I'm not the biggest fan of those. I'll only accept friend requests if I know you and have spoken to you multiple times.


"Can you breed X and Y for me?"
Depends on who they are! If they're an existing pair such as Del & Oisusa, then sure! If not, then you're out of luck 9 out of 10 times.


"Were you always in Wind?"
No! I joined Lightning when I joined the game. The people are very kind, but I did not bond well with the aesthetics of the flight along with the personality of the breeds the Stormcatcher made. I don't want to work in an office orz ...

Then I heard about the Wind flight from a couple people in a discord server, and I instantly felt that this was where I should be! Spirals are a whole mood, and reading their description just screams "this dragon has ADHD just like you!!!" to me!

The change happened pre-top-banner updates, so the Lightning banner was a bit gray and gloomy. Did not spark joy! The Wind one was green, fresh, almost like a salad. Every time I opened my Flight Rising after the move I felt this spark of joy, and a hunger for fresh greens.

The move happened on Thursday, April 14th, 2022!


"Can I send you things?"
Go ahead! I wont be accepting any more dragons as my lair is only getting fuller and larger, which can be a challenge for feeding and stuffs.
Apparel is always welcome! I love dressing up dragons!


"What does ORIXI mean?"
Honestly? I have no clue! Years back I was really into making random characters with no stories attached, and I made a guy with a pet hawk called "Orixi". I thought it was a pretty cool name and decided to use it as my username for Flight Rising! My username in a lot of other places is different however.


"Do you write lore?"
I do! I'm very passionate about it and I feel like I'm constantly thinking about lore, writing and dragons. Sometimes the words I use feel a bit simple and not as fancy as other people do, but I don't really know how to fix this, or if it should be fixed at all.

You can read up on my lore in the Water Domain library! Some other folks have their stories there as well, along with some minor stories that still relate to my lore in some way.


"Where does your lore take place?"
In an altered version of Sornieth! A large pool of things are the same, but some stuff involving the eleven deities & elemental abilities have changed.

The gods were the most present in my lore 500 years ago, but have appeared way less in the modern day. Lightweavers' hate towards imperials ends up stronger, and some dragons have directly interacted with the deities.

Elemental abilities depend on how close the bond with the dragons' respective deity is. These abilities can vary from dragon to dragon, but I'll go into depth more later in that same lore forum I linked earlier!


"Do you enjoy coding?"
Yes, I do! Just like writing, I'm very passionate about writing code. Though, only BBcode, the stuff that Flight Rising uses for its biographies and forums. HTML is stupid hard for me along with CSS, though I did follow a few classes for my education.

I've been considering opening up a forum where I can compile some codes for people to use along with different styles and credits to the resources I'm using for images and other stuff. Maybe with enough motivation & requests I can do this at some point, who knows!

"What were your previous lore plans?"
Initially I had planned for Indaviing to not survive the sea, to become a spirit who would guide Hope into defeating Ceridwen. Hope would've been born before Ceridwen took over the clan as well, and Variumn was not chased out and banished. He would've stayed in the clan and helped Hope defeat Ceridwen.

It was pretty inspired by the Lion King to be honest! Indaviing being Mufasa, Hope being Simba, Ceridwen being Scar, and some other minor similarities. I never really got to the point of finishing the story, maybe it just never had an ending, maybe it was never meant to end and I was fated to rewrite it the way I did.
