 The history around Leilana is... complicated. It begins well enough, finding Reznin and falling in love, starting a clan and family. But it falls apart in ways she never could have seen. It isn't known among newer dragons but the clan was originally co-lead by three dragons, not just two. Reznin, Leilana, and Chi were close friends and partners, each bringing something to the table of leadership. But over time as the clan grew, Reznin and Leilana's relationship began to strain and Chi chose this time to strike. He pretended to understand and support her and soon confessed that he loved her. Leilana fell for him but soon started noticing strange behaviors, starting with him asking they keep their relationship a secret. The next sign something was wrong was when Reznin took their three daughters to the Flamecaller. Chi suggested he was heartless for taking her precious children away from her. Shocked, Leilana snapped at him that it was her decision just as much as his. They dropped the conversation. When Leilana was with egg, she went to Reznin and revealed the relationship. He was deeply sad but accepted and supported them, admitting he hadn't done the best he could do as a mate, breaking her heart. Leilana and Chi's relationship also became strained and when the nest was made Chi remained oddly distant. Days before the nest was to hatch it was completely robbed. After 2 weeks of desperate searching, only the small Pearlcatcher, Moontrance was recovered. Leilana was broken inside but kept face for her daughter and doted on her constantly. The clan noticed Chi didn't help at all in raising his daughter but by then most of the clan knew something was off about him. Many in the council suspected a possible coup from him based on the way he talked of Reznin. When Moontrance became an adult his plot was revealed, and he was driven from the clan. The entire clan was shocked, hitting Reznin and Leilana, as well as Chi's young apprentice, Shizi particularly hard. Since then Leilana has been protective of young mothers, watching distance fathers carefully, especially Bronze, who seems to not care for any of his children. Long after another betrayal, Leilana finally found some light. A small nervous flambebe, a gift from another clan, slowly poking his head out from the hatchlings den. She raised Ligeis like one of her own, doting on the young tundra and guiding his every step. The two are very close; Ligeis will often sit with his mother while she sorts the herbs are join her and the other healers as they gather herbs. |

Leilana is a kind and gentle soul, but she isn't a pushover. She knows her limits and won't be taken advantage of and cares deeply for her clan and Reznin. She has always loved nature and breezy weather so the move underground was rough but took the challenge and brought life to their new world. No family of her's would sit in cold darkness with unending rocks. Most of the lighting and decorations were planned and arranged by Leilana and Zelus.
Most of the clan's plants come from massive gardens built near underground rivers. These are overseen by Wildfire and maintained by the clan's healers. Leilana in particular watches over the herb patches.
