Lanthan- //- Parabotanist- Atomic Number 57

- - - In the past Lanthan was once a member of the Duskshield Guard at Shadowbane Point, a border fort close to the tangled wood. He served the Lightweaver with a devotion and pride only to be expected from her glorious paladins. Each day he would guard the realms against the trepidation of the Shadow flight with fanatical devotion. He didn't care who it was, to him they were all enemies and traitors, denying the glory of his divine master. His skill and devotion were known far and wide and he rose fast through the ranks.

All this changed during a massive border skirmish. Hoping to flank the enemy from behind he was sent deep into the Tangled wood with several of his most trusted comrades. He should meet up with another party, led by one of his peers. But they never came. Instead he was attacked in the unfamiliar terrain and encircled. It was a trap. But not by the Shadow dragons, by his own comrades.

In the dark forest and murky swamps he tried to fight, but it was all in vain. With his last breath he swore vengeance on his betrayers before he died and sunk below the murky waters. When the sun set on the next day a dragon rose from the pool, covered in thorns and wines, his formerly golden hide murky and marked by the bones underneath it. His open wounds were filled with purple gems.

He had returned to take his revenge, but when he tried to enter his former home, the domain of the Lightweaver he felt as if the sun was trying to burn him alive. The light god had forsaken him and denied the undead entrance to her lands. Instead he waited in the tangled wood, camouflaged by his new skin until they returned.
