As the clan's primary hunter, Ghastly doesn't just hunt for food. She also hunts down any dragons that may have escaped or tried to escape the lair for whatever reason, provided that Rib has an interest in seeing them returned alive. If he simply wants them dead, he'll usually send others. Ghastly just happens to be particularly good at bringing back her prey alive.

This is in part due to the fact that she has magic abilities that makes it possible for her to be stealthier than one might otherwise expect from an Imperial. For example, she can make herself invisible for limited amounts of time and uses that ability to sneak up on and toy with her prey.
