 During her childhood, Rowyn was involved in a terrible accident. It left her crippled and deformed, always losing sloughs of skin and scales. Even the most experienced of healers could not completely cure her, however one managed to make her condition painless, so long as she ate a foul concoction of herbs and bugs every week. But even that could not save her from the taunts and ridicules of her peers. She was constantly shunned and treated as an outcast, until she finally came of age and left. After weeks of traveling she came across a fae foraging for insects. He was accompanied by a spiral, who after a frantic discussion with the fae that she could not understand, invited her to join their clan. She was cautious, and rightfully so, but agreed to at least visit and stay for a few days. Everyone welcomed her with open arms, as most of them were misfits themselves and could understand her troubles and past. In the end, she decided to stay, and now resides as the clan's battle instructor, teaching hatchlings how to defend themselves while out foraging for food or in other circumstances.

As the clan accepted her into their ranks, Rowyn allowed herself to show her true colors. Deep under her trauma and scorning was really just a sweet girl who wanted the best for everyone. Not that she wasn't afraid to show her claws when needed, but dragons often came to her for advice and comfort. She's not too keen on touch, but that doesn't stop her from helping everyone as best as she can.
