Some say when you die, you're just born again.

Noche has always known she was different. She hatched alone in the Gladeveins on a bed of maple leaves, save for the lonely umbra wolf curled around her egg. A creature of shadow forever at her side, they made their way in the thick trees and bogs of the Labyrinth. The wolf hunted the shadows of the trees and Noche learned to follow suit. She was born here, took her first steps under the over-reaching arms of the Behemoth...but something inside her told her she didn't belong here.

And every night she dreamed of a place that was filled with darkness. Filled with memories of dragons, of a homeland, of a life...that was not her own. She was too young to understand it then. Instead, she kept to her den of maple leaves and whispered her dreams into them every morning, only to let the spring breeze whisk one away each day. They were little whispered diaries of a life she never lived, but seemed to know so well.

And there were memories of things she didn't want to know either. Of death and the burden of lost loved ones that she had never even met. But even as a young dragons he understood that not everything was meant to be understood. Some things she was just going to know...without ever knowing why.

Sometimes we hold memories that are not our own.

It wasn't until Agarri found her that she first glimpsed another dragon. Agarri was the one who brought Noche to the Tangled Wood...but neither of them would ever be able to explain why it felt so much like coming home. It was from the elder Archdruid that Noche learned the art of embracing the animal spirits around her. With her ever present wolf at her side, she was a quick learner. They traveled together through the Tangled Wood, with Noche constantly learning from the elder, until finally they stumbled across a clan tucked away in thickent and bramble.

It felt like home. And it was a place she'd seen before...if only in her dreams. While the young clan was just beginning to grow, plucking itself from the ruins and ashes of the place that had once held another...Noche could see what it had once been, for she had seen this place every night in her dreams.

But when betrayal struck in the heart of the budding clan and a portal of a dark, crawling evil was pulled through they were all nearly lost to the Shade. Gaping maws of razor sharp teeth peeled from the shadows. It spread like an infection, stealing through creatures and dragons alike, turning them friends to foes in a breath. From the remains of that tragedy, on a land so ripe with history and trauma, Shade's Breach was born. Druids and paladins, warriors and survivors, this place was built from the ashes like a phoenix reborn.

The survivors swore to seal away the portal and all signs of the Breach and to defend this place to their dying breath. Among them was Noche.

Years have passed since that day. Now, as the leader of the Druids of the Breach, Noche has watched this clan grow and she will continue to watch it, until her last breath.

You may not always know what our purpose is when we start our journey, but you will know it when you find it.

An elderly umbra wolf male, with white fur beginning to peek through the purple wisps across his face. Whether or not he has far exceeded the life expectancy of a normal umbra wolf is unknown, but Sluagh has been around longer than most. He appeared one day in the Labyrinth to tend to a lone nature egg and has never left the side of the dragon who hatched from within. Some say spirits are tied together for life...perhaps he too is another dragon reborn into a form not his own.

As an archdruid, Noche can take quite a number of forms. She is most comfortable as a canine or bird.

When she first was learning, an umbra wolf was the easiest form for her to master. Probably because of Sluagh's constant presence by her side since hatching, she knew him as well as she knew herself. She is most comfortable with the following shifts: an umbra wolf, a seeker, a raven, a black gryphon, and most of all, she has a strong preference to shift into a black vulstal with brilliant pink gems.

On a rare occasion she can appear as a wispwillow peryton as well.

Once upon a time I exalted one of my favorite dragons ever for lore reasons. She was one of the first dragons I ever bought and the first I ever put a gene on. It's been years and I've regretted it ever since. This was the closest I could get to a first gen reincarnation of her. She will never be for sale or trade.
