Biography

Mote likes material pleasures, good food, good drink, music and females. He enjoys life to the fullest, wanting to experience every novelty. One thing he certainty does not want to do, is be exalted. During the Brightshine Jubilee he and many of his peers were rounded up as a gift to their patron god. Most of the other hatchlings thought this was a great idea. Mote did not. Just before being taken up by his god, Mote made a run for it, and since no one was expecting those being honored to bolt, he got way too. However if not being exulted was his goal, he probably could have chosen a better hiding place than in Arkar’s lair.

Arkar captured the tiny dragon, breaking his tail in the process, and had every intention of exalting him. Fortunately Mote was able to convince her that he would be a terrible soldier, and that he would only cause problems for the Gladekeeper if he was sent. Arkar decided not to exalt him, and he decided to stay, knowing that Arkar wound protect him from anyone else who might want to exalt him to a different god.

Mote grew up in a mixed breed lair, and is aware that other dragons usually express emotion when they speak. Mote tires to mimic these expressions of emotion with mixed results. Whether this makes him easier to understand, harder to understand or just plain creepy depends on who you ask.

Mote has become good friends with the clan Mirrors. He scouts for them, as most large animals ignore a Fae. He then feasts on the flies and wasps attracted tot heir kills. On another level they enjoy the jokes he tells, and consider him good company. This served Mote very well when he slept with Static the Wildclaw's wife, before Static had a chance to bed her. The enraged wildclaw intended to kill the little fae, but found himslef far out numbered by the Mirror army, and backed down.
