This dragon is a member of the Arcane flight subspecies Magic Illusionist and meets the specific genetic and coloration criteria set forth by that flight.

Arcane Magic

The Beginning

In the deep of the Starwood Strand tiny fireflies are floating around. Their lights color the air brightful pink and purple. The surrounding is peaceful.

But the Arcanist felt that the Strand was too empty. In every other part of the Starfall Isles dragons seem to live, except in his most beautiful subregion. So he decided to create dragons. He closed his eyes and many orbs appeared from his claws. With one move of his arms the orbs all started to float to the Starwood Strand.

For days the orbs kept floating. But one day, when night has fallen, the orbs suddenly started to transform into dragons. Pink colored dragons, purple colored dragons and even pink and purple colored dragons. From afar the Arcanist watched his 'children' hatch.

The dragons felt attached to the woods. This was their home. Curious as they are, the dragons developed Arcane magic skills and made the Strand even more colorful with pink and purple. It was just a matter of time that the forest was populated.

But since there was no one to lead them, not even the Arcanist, things were getting chaotic. Every dragon did its own thing and just ignored its fellow dragons. Fights happened. The trust in each other was lost.

Until one day a few pink colored dragons stood up. They had a solution. The pink colored dragons started to bring everyone together. When all the dragons were on the same spot, the pink colored dragons explained that there was no need for fighting, because everyone is equal and special. Everyone had its own ability and specialty. They just needed a leader.

Surprisingly all the dragons agreed. They said that the pink colored dragons had to be the leaders, since they are the wise ones. Calling them the Mages.
Then there were the lavender dragons, the silent ones, but good at summoning. They got called Summoners.
The pastel colored dragons were able to see the future, which was really necessary to keep the peace. Naming them the Fortunetellers.
The darker colored dragons were tricky, but in a good way. They were the strongest of them all. Illusionists was how they got called.

Peace quickly returned in the group. Since they all got magic abilities, they started to name themselves 'Arcane Magic'.


Illusionist Variant

The darker colored dragons of Arcane Magic. Illusionists are known to cause mischief with their tricks. Those who think that they are useless in the group will receive some nasty tricks from the Illusionists. They are the guardians, keeping all the bad creatures away and protect those who are nesting.
