______ A pioneer in the field of Natural Science Gecko, sometimes called Geck or Gex, is extremely well-camouflaged for 'e's profession. 'e'll cover their barred skin with dead leaves in an artfully arranged fan and perch stick-still in a tree to observe. 'E has a flawless memory, 'e'll closely observe a situation for hours at a time before recording the result in e's journal. 'e's a well respected researcher in the interactions of species in an ecosystem. Hatched from an egg recovered by a battle team in the Waterways 'e was initially a dark purple with stone brown wings before lightening to e's current coloration. The darker markings that serve to break up 'e's silhouette developed later, when 'e was nearing adulthood. Armed with this natural camouflage and tendency to freeze makes Gecko a hard dragon to find when 'e doesn't want to be found. 'e is known among naturalist circles for 'e's cheerful attitude and hands-on approach to conservation. 'e draws detailed sketches of his environment and subjects, these references are highly sought after by Pharaoh and China for their work in beast-taming and Moth for his work on entomology. Gecko is also an outspoken conservationist, working tirelessly in defense of preserving nature with a dedication more common to the Nature flight. While some question why an Ice Flighter cares so much about preserving the environment 'e knows more than most the importance of preserving a delicate ecosystem.

______ E's Research Assistant and mount is Flora the Barkback Boar. Flora provides some protection and is perfectly content to root herself into the earth and refresh her greenery while her rider fusses over some rare plant or animal. When her rider gets into too much trouble she defends them from e's work. She considers this a small price to pay for a comfortable forest to guard and the opportunity to travel. Gecko takes care to keep the greenery golem free of insects that might damage her foliage, dubbing them 'travel snacks'.
