Peura

Peura’s title as the Master may not convey his true nature and innate humility very well, but every dragon who comes through the Thorned Clan acknowledges and admires his expertise and extraordinary teaching ability. After all, most everyone who came after the First Departure learned everything they knew from him. A caring and dedicated teacher, Peura does everything he can to bring out the best in his pupils, as well as reminding them that only they can decide how they would use their gifts. This was something he had learned from watching EunYang, the clan’s combat instructor before him. EunYang had stayed behind, too consumed by guilt to let himself travel with the rest of the clan during the Second Departure. As the combat instructor, EunYang had taught everyone in the clan how to fight, meaning that every dragon who fought in the Civil War had weaponized his teachings against one another. Now, with Peura carefully warning each student to use their gift wisely, he also instills a sense of personal accountability in everyone who comes into the clan, as a tribute to his own Master. |

Rumored to be imbued with the spirits of warriors past, Sasu guides Peura on his own journey of perpetual learning. As his divine companion, they ensure that he stays disciplined and committed to everything he holds dear, and he listens to them tell stories of the warriors before him. Peura aspires to have his own story told one day, after he is gone. |
