Ash
Quiet, cool headed, and more than aware of his intelligence, Ash is by far the most skilled magic user of the clan. Despite this and his aloof demeanor, Ash never brags about his prowess, only using his confidence in his powers to help his clan. His cold demeanor stems from awkwardness, as he's not comfortable opening up to other dragons or being close to them for long periods of time. Unfortunately, most dragons mistake him as a snob as a result, as that anxiety makes him rude and snappish, pushing would-be friends away. The only exception to this is Desiree, who has seen the deep kindness in Ash's heart countless times on the battlefield.
The two have deepened that bond to one of dedicated partnership, one that does not need hatchlings to cement it.
He spends a surprising amount of time near the nesting grounds, despite having no desire for children of his own ever since first Refn, then Sweetleaf years later each departed for greener pastures. The hatchlings there seem unbothered by his lack of social skills and are curious of his adventures, so he will sit outside the mossy edges of the nest and calmly recount the stories he's gathered as one of the clan's fighters and hunters, allowing them to climb on him all the while. And if one of the hatchlings happens to belong to his grandson Togha? Well, he treasures those most of all./i]
