Biography
Although he was born into the Ice clan, Cedrift never felt at home there. He was considered far too impulsive, restless, and talkative. For his part, as a hatchling mirror dragon, he found them boring, stubborn, and--not to put too fine a point on it--cold.
As he was about to reach maturity, he stumbled upon a fae dragon, shivering in the lee of a rock out on the ice plains. Cedrift brought her into his family's lair and cared for her as she recovered, in spite of the disapproval of the other Ice dragons. Her tales of travel and exploration resonated with his own nature. When Vestus had recovered enough to fly back to the steppe home of the Wind clan, Cedrift came with her, without a backward glance.
After changing his species, the newly minted young wildclaw dragon is now completely accustomed to the warmer climate away from the frozen plains. His right eye is slightly "lazy"--it doesn't focus in tandem with the left as well as it should--and so he wears a corrective lens to compensate. Despite being a veteran of a fairly long run in the Coliseum, Cedrift has settled down to a life of relatively little violence, and in fact is considered one of the most level-headed and reliable dragons in the clan. He most often acts as a go-between for the other lair's members, making sure that everyone is well situated and that no disputes get out of claw. His other duties include being the clan's official emissary to Tempest Spire, the "face" who represents the clan in meetings with outside dragons, and organizes the interview process for new dragons who wish to join the clan.
