Unlike the rest of the Clan which seems to carry more of an interest in metals (specifically how they can smelt them), Jyoti is interested in history. He has compiled a stunningly large anthology on the island's formation, as well as traveled far and wide to hear the histories of Sornieth itself. The Beastclans fascinate him. His sympathetic view towards members of non-dragon kind will earn him hostility from his Clan, Jyoti does not make this common knowledge outside of a small circle of known sympathizers and his mate, Peachflower.

A very down-to-earth (in every sense of that word) coatl, Jyoti is a passionate, kind dragon whose very love and admiration for the ingenuity of the Beastclans may very well be his downfall. Jyoti is, understandably, a collector of Beastclan items; though he prefers to scavenge them in the jungles and all over Sornieth, he will occasionally accept battle items from the few within the Clan he calls friends.

His mate doesn't care for his 'tacky' collection of 'native junk', but he just doesn't have the heart to part with it.

The sort of coatl who enjoys a small flair of personality, he traded in his iridescent gleaming feathers for a more exotic or tribal looking 'clown spots', perhaps to match some of the fauna found on Scorched Rock Island.

Jyoti uses Unicorn Dust in all of his inks, which better preserves them for long term use and prevents smudging! It also makes his scrolls sparkle.
