Yara is somewhat of a myth, a tall tale. Someone dragons aren't entirely sure exists, but fear nonetheless.

Just as the sea winds sometimes whisper and sometimes roar, Yara is heard of from time to time and then dissapears. She sinks into the dark depths of the ocean and waits, fading from the thoughts of the landdwellers above. But when she rises once again, ships part for her, and the ocean rages against every ship's hull but hers.

Those who have met her and lived to tell the tale say she has a commanding presence. The air crackles when her meaty paws hit the deck. Cracked scales reveal shimmering gold and blue opal, catching the light of the morning sun. Her voice is rough, choppy, like the waves that surround her ship, and here's an eerie lilt in the way she speaks, an accent long forgottenn to those who live above the sea.

Some say she is a diciple of the sea, sent to burn the ships of slavers and steal back goods wrongfully stolen. The apperance of her ship does nothing to quell this rumour. Dainty red and yellow fish, great whales, and lurking sharks, follow Yara's ship as if guarding it, ready to strike and sink their teeth into anything at her word. It's said that she can speak with the sea, with the wind and the sky, and that's how she knows which ships to let pass and which to sink.

And in her wake, she leaves the broken entrails of ships. Charred and shredded and scattered. Great plumes of charcoal smoke fill the sky, and then her ship once again fades into the fog.

Other Traits
~Is a Gargantuan bogsneak, due to her deepsea origins. Has many marine traits, webbed paws, more fins than the landdwelling bogsneak, gills, etc.

~ Is a long but thickly built bogsneak, lots of fat to stay warm deep in frigid waters. All that fat is hiding well toned and powerful muscles.

~ Body is littered with scars and many of her fins are torn/tattered. Right eye is blind and appears blue/white and murky.

Trivia
~ Yara likes to carve stones and shells in her free time, making jewelry out of them or just keeping them as decorations. She only ever wears the jewelry she's stolen from pirates or bought though. The jewelry she makes herself is too precious to risk it getting damaged.

~ You know if Yara likes you if she gives you a carved stone/shell, it's seen as a sign of respect in her culture and different stones/shells have different meanings. She has done this for very few people.

~ Yara is multilingual and enjoys learning new languages and dialects of different languages. She doesn't have anyone to speak her native language too anymore, but she speaks it to herself just so she doesn't forget it.

~ She's also facinated by history! And enjoys reading super long and boring historical texts.

~ Before she raids a ship, she always says a prayer in her native language. Her crew has asked before what she's saying but she's never told them.

~ Yara has been widowed for a long time, over fifty years. In her quaters, she has a shrine to her loved one. From time to time she speaks to them if she's feeling conflicted or needs to sort things through her head. Oftentimes she'll place flowers, carved shells, or pretty stones at the shrine.

~ Supposedly, Seeker, her familiar, used to belong to her mate. (Yara accidentally hinted at this one time when she was drunk lol) Yara let's Seeker crawl all over her and is very gentle with them, often surprising her crew mates with this softer side of her personality.

~ She enjoys stargazing, and usually Seeker is with her. She's said before (also while drunk) that it reminds her of her mate, that it was something they used to do. She's also said it's the one thing she genuinely likes about the surface. You can't see the stars deep in the ocean.

~ Is... extremely sarcastic, and has a very dry sense of humor. Pretty much says everything in a monotone voice regardless of what emotion she's feeling so good luck catching it though lmao.
