Biography
She's had an affinity for weird stuff ever since she was a hatchling. See that golden birdskull? Weird. Why would anyone ever attach a skull to themselves as an accessory? Weird.

Zarah shook her head at the clay that she had shakily formed into a crude image of....
"What is that supposed to be?" Xephras asked, staring at what was supposed to be of, well, him. Zarah had appreciated his offer to teach her art, and figured a fitting first piece would be of Xephras. Clearly it had not shaped up as well as she'd hoped.
"It's supposed to be of you," Zarah chirped, flapping her wings slightly in a sort of nervous anticipation. "What do you think? I think I should have made the horns better and the wings smoother, but clay is just so weird."
Xephras hadn't said anything at all, and instead was staring at the statue. Zarah couldn't tell what he was thinking, and her frills dropped slightly. She worried he would be upset, offended by her awful work. Maybe she should have just stuck to trying to sculpt a flower or something.
As she opened her mouth to apologize, Xephras made an odd sort of choking sound. "It's lovely for your first time. I think your problem is that you're not applying enough pressure when you put the pieces together, so they have cracks in them, see?" He directed her gaze with one claw towards the cracks where the head met the rest of the body. "You did a good job for being a beginner. A really good job."
Zarah had never been good at reading tone in other dragons. They didn't move their frills the way faes did, didn't understand the monotone of fae. But she was pretty sure Xephras wasn't upset with her.
---
"Wait, she's your sister?"
Zarah didn't understand the question. "Yes? Of course she is. I hatched before her, but she's my sister."
Elis looked stunned. "You two look nothing alike!"
