Upon becoming old enough to leave the nest, Amethyst knew she wanted to journey to the land of her ancestors, the Shifting Expanse. Bidding her clan goodbye, she took her maiden voyage to the land of the Stormcatcher, where she soon came across two mirror dragons, one white and one black, building a new home. New to the world, she questioned the mirror's intentions and was struck by their fervor and boldness. In turn, the pair, Nightbone and Dhaval, invited the dragon to stay with them, at first out of merely wanting strength in numbers, but soon, as family.
Still naive to the world, Amethyst has yet to develop the cunning exhibited by most of her kind, and is loyal to Nightbone's clan, and will defend them fiercely.
Amethyst is the clan's best resource gatherer, having the best flying ability. However, "resources" often includes baby dragons, and she has been known to "borrow" them from other clans if she thinks they have potential for use in Nightbone's clan.
(Note: all "borrowed" hatchlings are in fact purchased from the auction house.)
