Cessiphus is the leader and founder of the Verdant Wardens, and the sorcerer of the Verdant Sword, the battle force of the Wardens. Stern and decisive, she has been successful so far in protecting her charge, and in training future Wardens for their ongoing mission.

The Watchful Warden
From her vantage point in the branches of the great oak tree that shades their base, the Matriarch of the Verdant Wardens can see almost every movement of her family. She watches Ceruno teaching their new apprentice how to coax new growth from the thorny flowers surrounding their base. She watches Toras explain the inner workings of her gently glowing heater to the tiny hatchling settled on her enormous horns, while Pixie frets over the rest of the nest. She watches Magice and Solarwind in the distance, patrolling the grounds that the Wardens have marked as their own, comparing weapons and apparel.

She glances up to the leafy canopy above her. The sun beams through the dark green leaves, rustling in the wind, creating dancing dapples across the branch. She smiles. As she watched the Wardens, the Gladekeeper herself watched over them all. They might be the one who had protected the oak since it was a seedling, but that seedling was the Gladekeeper's gift, and it was her power that kept it flourishing.

Distant miaows and the scratching of hooves on the base of the tree brings her from her thoughts. Agrixis' big green eyes look up at her, their fluffy tail swishing in annoyance at not having attention paid to them. Cessiphus smiles gently, and descends to perch on their back.

"All looks clear from the air. Let's continue our patrol."
